Quality inspection and code reading in one device

The LSIS 462i smart camera is a true all-rounder. It masters the reading of codes as well as blob analysis for monitoring for presence and completeness and type, position and orientation of objects.

LSIS 462i smart camera

Blob stands for "binary large object" and identifies a contiguous area of pixels whose light intensity lies between defined limit values. By setting blob features, individual objects or object groups can be reliably detected and differentiated on the basis of their geometric features – including situations where other processes produce incorrect results.

The LSIS 462i smart camera, like its "read-tested" sister, the LSIS 422i, can also be used anywhere that a variety of labels must be detected and evaluated at high speed. It reads printed and directly marked 1D/2D codes with absolute reliability, independent of contrast, even in reflected or inverted form.

The smart camera also offers all advantages of the LSIS 400 series, such as Web-based configuration with a standard browser, motor-driven focus adjustment and homogeneous illumination via free-form surface optics. Through the combination of the latest technology, flexibility and performance, the LSIS 462i smart camera is used, above all, in applications where a flexible and space-saving solution is required.

In these cases, this camera is generally the more economical alternative, which can also be more quickly and more easily integrated than multiple simple devices or a complex vision system.
