Regular safety inspection*

In Germany the Betriebssicherheitsverordnung [Industrial Safety Ordinance] has made it a statutory requirement that testing should be carried out before first-time commissioning, after extended periods of idle time or after modification of the machine, as well as at regular intervals.

Quite apart from the applicable statutory requirements, regular safety inspections guarantee that safety and quality standards will be adhered to; they also serve as preventive maintenance and so help keep undesirable machine stoppages to a minimum. In the form of a maintenance contract, Leuze electronic undertakes the following for you: Periodic scheduling; a specialist test of the add-on of the protective device that is specific to the machine type; the safe integration with the machine control; and the QA-relevant documentation of the test results. A test notice on the machine shows the month and year of the inspection that was performed.
